The MudPACK CPE Trial at ARGUS still has space available and does not close until the 24th (Monday).

And don’t forget the package price for SAT/SUN was incorrect.

“SAT/SUN PACKAGE PRICE REVISION!

The package price for Sat/Sun all nine runs should read “Sat/Sun all runs $90”.  The package price for the full weekend, Fri/Sat/Sun remains the same.”

Hey friends, it's almost time for Northwest Agility League!

This note is going out later than usual because we have a problem that I had hoped to resolve first.  But I need to get things rolling and don't have a solution yet, so we'll just deal with it in one way or another as we move forward.

How you register for Agility League will vary slightly depending on the site at which you want to compete, so please scroll down to your preferred site and follow those instructions.

If you're new to RAT, Agility League is a fun 7-week series of low-key team competition with your RAT friends.  League runs from early October to mid-November.  Each week we run one standard course and one game course adapted from all major agility venues. Teams consist of 4 handler/dog pairs, two of which may be pre-arranged and two of which will be drawn for you, to make teams as balanced as possible.  Only the top 3 scores count for each team, so a bad run isn’t a disaster for the team.  If you need more information, please contact me and check out the attached document.

PURDY  (Site Leader - Susan Perry)

Susan is already ahead of the game; if you're one of her regulars, you've already heard from her and have hopefully registered with her.  If that's the case, you're all set.  Susan and I will share registration data with each other later, so there's nothing more that you need to do.

If you haven't registered yet, please send your info to both of us.  See the attached PDF for the information that we need.  If you've done League before, just send us an email with 6 essential bits of information:
  1. Your name
  2. Your email address
  3. Your dog's name
  4. Your dog's experience level
  5. Where you want to compete (Purdy, obviously)
  6. Your type of entry:
    • You have already formed a team with someone (tell me with whom)
    • You want to be drawn onto a team
    • You'll enter as  a sub
    • You'll run FEO (For Exhibition Only)

KENT (Site Leader - Pam Diemond)

Please send me an email with your registration data.  See the attached PDF for the information that I need.  If you've done League before, just send me an email with 6 essential bits of information:
  1. Your name
  2. Your email address
  3. Your dog's name
  4. Your dog's experience level
  5. Where you want to compete (Kent, of course)
  6. Your type of entry:
    • You have already formed a team with someone (tell me with whom)
    • You want to be drawn onto a team
    • You'll enter as  a sub
    • You'll run FEO (For Exhibition Only)

"North End"  (Site Leader - TBD)

The issue I mentioned above is that we don't have a site leader for our north end location.  If we can't find a volunteer to run Agility League each week, we won't have a separate north end League location.  So, your registration process is a little bit more complicated.  In addition to the usual information about you and your dog, I need to know what you want to do if no one volunteers to be the site leader.  (In related news, Mike V has found a great new site in Monroe, where we'll hold League if someone steps up to run it.)

If you're willing to consider being the North End Site Leader, contact me ASAP to discuss the role.
  1. Your name
  2. Your email address
  3. Your dog's name
  4. Your dog's experience level
  5. Where you want to compete
    • Monroe if possible, but in Kent or Purdy as a backup.  If we can't find a site leader, tell me whether you'll join us in Kent or Purdy.
    • Monroe or nothing.  If we can't find a site leader, you'll skip it this year.
  6. Your type of entry:
    • You have already formed a team with someone (tell me with whom)
    • You want to be drawn onto a team
    • You'll enter as  a sub
    • You'll run FEO (For Exhibition Only)

The address and directions is also on the RAT website in the members only section.

We are hosting the September 23rd RAT meeting at our place.

Our address is:  36710 34th Ave S  Auburn, WA  98001  Ross’ cell is 253-241-8018, Leanna’s cell is 253-241-3332 in case people get lost or need information. :-)

We are right at the intersection of Highway 18 and I-5.

If coming from I-5 or Highway 18 from the West:
Take Highway 18 toward Auburn and take the Weyerhauser exit (first Highway 18 exit).  Turn right at the end of the ramp and follow the road around a few 90-degree turns and name changes until you come to a 4-way stop with flashing stop light.  Turn left onto 360th street, and then turn right at the next intersection onto 32nd street (right before a flashing emergency light for the fire station).  Follow this road around one 90-degree turn to the left and begin looking for 34th Ave S on your left.  This is a dead end street.  We are at the dead end…. at the end of the street, take a slight jog to the left and go straight up the hill through the black open chain link gate with the house number on the upper right of the open gate. We have parking for probably 7-8 cars inside the gate, otherwise, there is street parking right outside of our gate.

If coming from 167 or  Highway 18 from the East:
Take Highway 18 W toward Federal Way and take the Weyerhauser exit (first Highway 18 exit).  Turn left at the end of the ramp and follow the road around a few 90-degree turns and name changes until you come to a 4-way stop with flashing stop light. We’d be happy to host a little taco bar.  We can provide some smoked chicken and taco beef as well as tortillas…if others will contribute something else (and only if food is desired).

I forgot to mention in this thank you an huge shout out to Jackie Loeser for course building all weekend. We had so many people that jumped in and helped with everything it’s hard to name them all..so again thank you so much for all the hard work to make this trial so relaxed and fun and efficiently run.
Thanks again to all RAT members that constantly step up and in to help everywhere it’s needed.

We’d be happy to host a little taco bar.  We can provide some smoked chicken and taco beef as well as tortillas…if others will contribute something else (and only if food is desired).
